Whenever me think of great Canadian music we always think of all the talent in Toronto but never think about the other hard working artist making noise in their provinces.
Leila is a singing dynamo from Montreal, Quebec that is making noise with successful singles in both English and French.
You maybe more famiilar with her than you think. Her song “Move” was on MTV’s Real World Brooklyn and “Push Me Away” was played on MTV’s Taking the Stage.
Check out her phone interview with UrbanAmore.com and her experience as both a french and english recording artist.

It would seem that beyond the public, MTV executives are also smitten with Leila. Some of her songs are featured on two of their most popular TV show.
Her song “Move” was a top contender as MTV’s Taking the Stage theme song. However, producers chose Grammy Award nominee Leona Lewis’ song “Whatever it Takes.”
Her songs “Move”, “Like me” and “Push me away” from her upcoming album have been featured not only on Taking the Stage, but also on the show The Real World: Brooklyn.

2009 marks the launch of Leila’s debut album on iTunes worldwide on May 12th. And while several of her songs gained recognition through their plays on MTV, some of her songs are ranked on radio stations in Europe, including Russia and Bulgaria.
